Mary Sue,,,thanks for the kind words. ISO 100 was set and no flash used. The light was early morning, filtered through trees. I did use a litedisc diffuser to shade a hotspot in the background.

Wonderful capture...
Love the isolation of the b/g, it's emphsis the butterfly and show it in great details...
Perhaps applying the rule of third here will creat a better artisitic touch to this mastrepiece...

Gorgeous, really gorgeous! I like the framing here. The gentle curve of the grass blade pulls my eye through the image.
What ISO did you have your camera set for? And did you use any kind of flash (on camera or otherwise)?
