Most people do agree to things if asked politely. I'm sure he was thrilled with this picture. He looks so natural as though unposed and shows his working environment well. Great portrait.

Hi Rafi - I learned the same lesson 20+ years ago when I was in line behind a very rude individual who got quite irate when the woman behind the counter told him she could not speak English. My turn and thumbs on my pocket dictionary she told me as I stumbled through my terrible efforts at French, "Oh, don't worry, I speak excellent English!" Be polite and things work better (thou sometimes it does cause tongue hemorage). I leave a similar image, but from a composite of two shots from the same location - 20 years apart. Mister Ken

Oh thanks, but to be frank I think this french painter prefers "Cest Moi" instead!! Don't you agree? :)
I often spend my leisure time on learning french. However,France is completely far from here :(

Wonderful portrait and story Rafi, sometimes a little common courtesy is all it takes to get a great photo, I also usually ask permission beacause I am never comfortable just shooting people. Perfect for the Henri project. Alison
