Thanks Gab, we were outside last night and I was just playing around with the flash, it does look kind of spooky though. And I WAS TRYING to get him to pose a certain way but I think he was just tired! The things grandchildren have to do for their Maw Maws! Darlene

Nice shot. He is cooperating, but his body language is very telling--part of what being a teen-ager is all about. ;-)

A pensive mood ... or is he just waiting to adjust all your camera settings one more time (HeHeHe) ... well, the image is high quality, the dof just fine, yet the illumination is a little spooky. It probably has to do with illuminating him from below, reminds me of those Boris Karloff movies though definitely not as strong an effect, only a soft shadow on his right cheek and right half of his nose... Great portrait Darlene, he's a very handsome young man. I love the way the light is hitting him, beautifully filtered and highlighting his hair lips and eyes so nicely. The brick behind with it's multi color picks up the highlights and color of his hair. The only thing I might suggest (imo) is cropping off the bottom a bit maybe to the bottom of the chair or arms of the chair as I find the legs too bright and distaracting from the beautiful upper half.
