Beautiful shop detail. Great choice on the sepia toning and exposure. Looks like a dust old shop. I think the ragged edging choice for a frame was good also. Top flight work!

I like this very much, George. It has the feel of an old tintype. The sepia tone is perfect for the subject. Great composition. Cheers, Larry

Thank you for your very detailed response George...I use both of those as well...good idea to use the CS2 program first because it's not as thorough as the Neat Image, which often removes too much detail as well...thank you for that...I've been working with skies lately as you've seen in my work and even at ISO of 100 sometimes I have a little noise...I'm thinking maybe that's because it is a sky? Yes!! I love my new camera TOTALLY...thanks again George....:):)Linda

Linda--Part II of a reply that was already too long. ;-) To smooth things out--in PS-CS2--Filter>Noise>Reduce Noise. If that doesn't work out, sometimes I'll use NeatImage 2.6. It's a stand-alone,not a plug-in. Its interface and operation is neither elegant nor intuitive, but it works very well for my purposes.

Thanks, Linda, of the approximately 8 gazillion shots from Paris this year, this was one of my favorites. One of the things I was trying to learn while there was more to be more flexible in using different ISO settings. I did no smoothing at all with this shot at 1600. When I went to 3200 for the night shots, there invariably was some noise present--especially in large flat surfaces. So in the "Eiffel Moon," there was some distracting graininess in the sky, and I tried to offset that a bit in the image as posted. Many times, I sense that a lot of detail tends to disguise the noisiness even at 1600. At 800 and below, I hardly give it a thought. Amazing piece of machinery, this 20D! Hope that helps. --g

Love this...the vintage look with the sepia and ragged border are wonderful...and it's great to see this kind of thing...like a museum of old tools, no modern technology showing in this one...perfectly done George...did you have to clean up noise with that ISO, and if so what do you use.....no I can't see it, it's excellent just curious...:):)Linda

This is wonderful George, the workshop looks old yet very appealing with all the different tools, really nice tones and perspective.

Reminds me of my dad's tools that he had down in the cellar. This feels like the memory of that.

Tools of a bygone era George, nice clean sparkling workshop. Love the sepia tint to it. Lighting is perfect.

I remeber using these tools at school for the wood work lessons, brings back some good memories. Pillar drills, planes, saws, braces, scribers - yeah I remember those things. Haven't used them since though, wish I had done that stuff for a living now. The sepia suits it well, makes it look suitably old. ;~}
Thanks for your comment earlier, I think the rangefinder on the 35RC may need recalibrating or maybe my eyes need recalibrating!!

This is fabulous, I love everything about it..the tone, so vintage looking. Lots of interesting things to look at. Not the kind of work I do but a very appealing composition. A real winner in my opinion!
