Hi Roger, A personal liking always makes a shot good.... And eventhough that doesn't always appy for the other viewers, I do think that's a solid reason. And, it did attract my attention, looking at the recent images section. The journalistic bent you mention did cross my mind too. Hope I didn't sound too harsh, no offence intended...
That you bothered to write anything at all, Hugo, is MUCH appreciated. Put the lack of a primary attention getter down to my simple "show it like it is" journalistic bent. I LIKED this row of leeks... and that was enough for me!
Thanks, Chris. I didn't enter this one with any hopes of winning the Usefilm popularity contest, but do I really like this shot. It's there for my own satisfaction! Incidentally, the farmer who tends these fields has taken a fancy to our dog, and often gives me samples of the vegetables he raises. We've enjoyed wonderful tomatoes, onions, and egg plants so far...
Hi Roger, what can I say. A nice image, and good natural tones. Also, the diagonal works well. Yet there's something that disturbs me about the image, and I think that it lacks a specific primary subject, something to grab (and hold) the viewers attention. Don't think it's really intended to have one, though, which makes my statement (as usual) fairly subjective.
