Ah, I SEE! THat explains it. I normally don't have much time for long time exposures of moving water. It's a cliche that doesn't correspond with any reality visible to the human eye. But this is excellent. Very, very creative and a really beautiful image. Thanks for the explanation! It goes to my favourites...

Thanks for your comments Roger. Those are small rocks in the sea, a few feet or so across. The things sticking out of them are pieces of kelp and barnacles.
The mist is created by the waves breaking over them during the 10 second exposure which was done at about 5:15 am just before the sunrise.
I did a few adjustments of curves, saturation etc. to give a stronger impression. Glad you like it.
Regards from Fuji, Craig

Would appreciate more of an "about" for such a mysterious image. It's really beautiful, I love it, but what IS it? Are those people on the rocks? But if so, how could they be so sharp with a 10s exposure? Puzzling.

Hi Craig, this look gives the photo a very eerie feel, completely ridden of references and to size. Very intersting.
Cheers,
