Fireworks on the 4th of July, going off over the Mackinac Bridge. The fireworks were shot off in Mackinac City, and the picture was taken from across the lake in St. Ignance.
Hi Gary. As someone who spent 20 years in the fireworks industry, I really appreciate seeing photos of them. (When you're busy shooting a show, you rarely get to see any shells actually explode) I have to agree with Urs about the cropping however. I'd probably lose about 75% of the frame area and concentrate on a balance between the bursts and the towers of the bridge, assuming it doesn't get too grainy. Both the fireworks and the lights on the bridge appear to be nicely exposed. Thanks for sharing this one. Best wishes, Kurt
I'm a fan of fireworks, and you shot a very good picture with a firework! To my opinion or better said to my taste there's a little bit to much of dark black in this otherwise so colorful picture, I would have cropped it a bit more.
