Thanks, very little manipulation here. Just always expose for those highlights. I just added a little vignette around the edges. Soft focus was done in camera with the VR. Looks like I oversharpned the resized version a little too much along the arm in particular now that I look at it.

Obviously you are great with people.
But beautiful detail and gradation in the near whites.
Detail down into the shadows.
Both when overall contrast is just right.
Do you do a lot of burning and dodging?
If you do, it doesn't look like it.
What's your secret for success?
Maybe just a little hint?
