About This shot was overexposed and corrected in photoshop. It is also a little tighter of a crop then I would like to have. I didn't have my extender around when I saw him. For all of the problems I think it was rescued pretty successfully. Hope you agree.

Focal Length 200 mm.

Rescued successfully is an understatment......this is a really beautiful image, very sharp and crisp! And is that a spiderweb dangling from the stem?? Just perfect as usual!!!

Hi Taran, thanks for the comment. I use a book titled "National Audobon Society Field Guide to North American Insects" I know if you googled dragonflies you would get some sites that had dragonfly names come up, but thats the hard way to find a type you do not know the name of. With the book, you just look for a picture taht resembles the type of dragon you have captured and then narrow it down from there. Hope this helps. Thanks again for commenting.

I agree. Just out of curiousity, where do you find out dragonfly names (species)? Is there an internet resource (or a book)? Thanks in advance, and thanks for the pic.
