Wonderful story and tribute to a fallen fawn. Sad that civilization takes away some of mother natures most precious little creatures sometimes. Great shot of their siblings! Glad you gave a name to the little one who didn't survive! You obviously have a kind heart! Be well and thanks for the tribute!

That's a very moving story Jim made all the worse by the fact some heartless b****** just left the poor thing to suffer. It hurts more because we saw a dead deer at the roadside yesterday and bear in mind we don't have that many over here. This shot sure portrays the sadness and bewilderment that this pair are left with. Thanks for posting. Den

That's a touching story Jim, you old softie. You must have a way with the deer. Around here they are so wild that you can't get within gunshot of any of them. This could be titled (You check that way and I will check this Way). Great work. Don.

It's a sad but all too common story, Jim, but good for you to make the attempt to get help. This is an amazing shot for ISO 3200, though! Dave.

John I am just a hopeless romantic, an old softy. Heck I buried my goldfish when a lightning storm caused him to bail out of his bowl. THe marker is still in the garden. Yes it was sad, so young so small. they are really getting whacked around here lately because there are so many of them.
