I like the effect of all those strong vertical lines, I like the rich blue sky and green leaves, I like the warm patches of sunlight on the forrest floor - I wish I was there!

Great angle and very strong lines leading towards the blue sky. Very well taken Bryan. (you are right, our manmade forests or rather plantations, are sterile and empty in comparison to the rich undergrowth and biodiversity found in the indigenous forests). Regards.

Thanks Markus. Hopefully you are going on another great holliday. I would imagine the forest is empty of other forms of life. That was the feeling I had when I took the photo, anyway. ;-)

Empty of what, Bryan? Not of trees obviously. The picture shows very well the structure of this monocultured forrest.

I love how the composition conveys the peace and quiet of the woods. Well done. Andree

Thanks, Guido. The polarizer helped to keep the sky dark in this shot. It obviously worked really well in these conditions...

nice South African Blue sky
showing here between the trees.
But I dont understand why the sky isnt blow out white at iso 400 f8 shutter speed 1/20?
are you shure about the exif?
Just wondering.Suppose the sky there is much darker blue than around here.
Best regards
Guido
