ben, as you've visited my portfolio already, you know that i am interested in landscapes. i was hoping to visit the desert regions of china this year but that looks like it'll have to wait for another time. however, your photo has given me more reason to get there soon. altho the chinese desert is quite different from that of the southwest US, it still shares the same basic characteristics.... dry, vast and lonely. very nice shot.

I really love the southweast, good landscapes just fall into your lap left and right. we did 4100 miles from chicago down Rte. 66 to flagstaff, up through the grand canyon to Vegas, up through bryce and zion NPs, then up through colorado nebraska and iowa back home.. in 7 days. Next time I will take more film and a tent.

coulda, but the other side of the tree was ugly =) it actually ends just off the frame, so it wouldnt have been all that interesting.

Idealistic landscape , great colurs and composition .I wished U could zoom out more few inches behind to get more tree details (just an opoinon) .
