About The second in my series of sunset shots taken last evening. From a small farming community near Omaha, we got quite a show.

I would have shared some incredible full moon shots from last night, but after sitting in a pasture for an hour waiting for the moon to appear, my camera battery ran out of juice just as the moon lifted over the horizon. I got one shot and not a very good one at that.

Aw well, there will be another next month!

Love the warm colors in this image! A beautiful sunscape this is! I really like the striped sun! And it is always good to have a back up battery! :)

You can always count on another moon, Mark! This is an incredible sunset, giving a beautiful, peaceful end to another day! Well done!

Mark, this is a beauty. it looks like it was a marvelous scene.
I share your full moon adventure. I was all set for what I hoped would be a fantastic shot through my scope of the moon setting behind a hill on the other side of the lake. Just at the wrong time, a large cloud covered the scene. Darn.

Oh no...that's so frustrating when that happens. But I like this image all the same. Brilliant colour.

I think I like this sunset even better than the first one, Mark. The sun peeking throught the clouds and lighting the sky above makes a terrific picture. This is one for the wall. Print it and hang it! Larry

Thanks for the comment, Patrick. The funny thing is that to the naked eye, it isn't nearly as dramatic. It was beautiful, but the camera seems to pick up the red so much more than the eye does.

Amazing colors in the sky, Im dissapointed I missed it.
I did see the moon, however, and I feel your pain, I didnt have my camera with me either.
