You will have to come over here to see the rain...LOL!! No, seriously, I managed to block out most of it with the shutter speeds but you can still see it in the dark areas of the clouds.

Judi,
I am going to sound really hard to please... but I was actually envisaging something in between your two. I'd like a thin strip of foreground. What I said yesterday is that there was "a bit too much foreground" but here you have cut it off totally. I thought of a crop just above the steps, so there is a thin strip of the red land, then water, land and sky.
I must say that this is a matter of artistic interpretation and preference and in no way do I want to dictate what you should do. Your judgement is really spot on and these are your images.

Well...I had to go back to your first post to check on the cropping issue...I gotta say I prefer you first image over either this one or the suggested panoramic view. The foreground in the first adds lots of interest...this is totally a matter of personal taste and artistic view...both are well done Judi

Thanks Kel. It was a weird morning. I went to my usual places and everything wasn't as it seemed. The rain had put a weird cast over everything...it was almost surreal.
