About
This series was taken at the 15th annual Pow-Wow hosted at the Schingoethe Center for Native American Cultures at Aurora (Illinois) University. Over 100 dancers from all over the Midwest competed in various age groups and dance styles.
This little one (and a couple others) needed a little encouragement on the way into the area for dancing. After just a little encouragement, the little one started to move with the music quite naturally. You'll see in the next posting.
The sky were pretty grey on Sunday afternoon, but the brilliant colors of the dancers' outfits still came out well. Hope you enjoy the shots as much as we enjoyed the live performances. More information about the pow-wow at http://www.aurora.edu/museum/powwow.htm.
