You know I never really noticed the sky! .. it is a little off but maybe the sign counter-acts this slightly. As for teh jpeg thing, well it was a case of being fed up with post processing. Also the D100 takes a while to process the data in camera so you cant be as trigger happy with the shutter. I'd like to get this on a frosty morning pehaps. Ireland is great for shots - then again so is everywhere but the grass is always greener on the other side!

I think its called "sods-law" the one shot that has enormous potential and you go and shoot as a jpeg...bugger!
Great composition, line squeezed into the top right and the man-made sign also adds interest. I would see if I could mess about with the sky a little more and try it with a straight horizon unless that is deliberate?
I'll have to try the "irish" thing myself..!

Good treatment of a much photographed scene. I bet the typical happy snapper wouldn't dream of including the road sign but it is the very element that gives "oomph" to the photo.
