A beautiful abstract! ... and I agree with your advice to husbands/boyfriends. I discovered this last year - see my "While Sandy Shops, I Snap" portfolio at http://www.usefilm.com/browse.php?mode=portfolio&portfolio_id=6022

Men!... Petal knows what she's talking about - so listen!

Best regards,

Cool titles..... something to see symbolic - like that!! Stairs up - moving up - status - clear and no more then on the list!!! ;)))) Nice organic form.

As I'm the shopper, it just the opposite: no meltdown of any kind but rather a nice (and sometimes very welcome...) cooling down period... ;-D!!! Good luck with watching the plastic... sounds like you need to... LOL!!! (BTW this is the advantage of having a small camera.... and that 'irons out' some of the disadvantages!!! as for the crop: I'm working on it... ;-)).

You obviously have a better quality of shop where you are than I do where I am! All the shops in this part of the world are dull dull dull!!! This is a great shot of the staircase and a million miles from your usual work! Branching out must be contagious!!! Well done Petal on a superb shot!!!

That's a very bad idea! If one is distracted by the photography, there is the serious risk of the wife melting the plastic (credit cards) from over-use!

:)

Seriously, though: very good composition of a nice spiral. I would be tempted to try a square crop cutting out the two slightly distracting shapes at the bottom of the frame (the light and the doorway).

Just as long as you don't take to many shots of other women! The rule should be never leave home without your camera, something like what you got might present it's self to you. Great image.

A very interesting alternate perspective... and point of view on shopping, I guess I'll start reconsidering it! ;-)
Good shot, I really like it.
