About	Taken at sunset at Dark Harbor, Grand Manan Island, New Brunswick on a foggy evening on our vacation. I went looking for a sunset that evening hoping that the fog that was there all day would lift in time for sunset. I waited for about half an hour after arriving but no sun. I was just about ready to go back to our cabin, when I saw this. The sun was trying very hard to come through the fog that refused to lift and was causing the orange in the clouds. I thought it was an interesting image with colours in the sky and the loan boat docked for the night. So I came back with this and a few others which I will share later.

Great color and detail, but I think what works the most is the composition. It's balanced quite nice. Really well seen. You have a great eye and your portfolio is amazing!

Carsten, I didn't do any adjustments with levels for the sky. I think what you are seeing is when I converted to a jpg file from a .cr2 file. I do work with tiff files, but we are not allowed to upload them here.

It was worth waiting, really a special lighting situation. Did you make some levels / curves adjustment for the sky ? Color shades in the transition from fog to sky look somewhat jagged. If you have a RAW, I would recommend working with 16bit TIF;
