I was wondering why you used this red filter? After some seaching it turns out that this filter is actually advised by Kodak for there 640 Iso film. That the exposure of the film is not effected that much makes sence becouse the red's are not effected by the filter. Any way, thanks.

G'day Ilja,
Yeah the Kodak HIE is pretty grainy, and this is a crop of about 1/2 the image. Exposure was ok and development normal (Kodak recommended time in HC-110 dilution B). I've been exposing HIE with a 25A filter, separate incident meter set at ISO 400 (this takes into account any filter factor for the 25A, i.e. filter factor is *much* less for HIE than the 3 stops for normal panchro film). It's always a good idea to bracket +1/-1 stop too.

Nice picture i wonder why is the grain so big, is that due to the use of IR-film, or did you over develop to compensate for under exposing, well ofcourse this film is verry tricky, nice try i hope to "do" this film one as well, any tips?
