About These are some of the images taken by my ten year old daughter on our recent trip to the English Lake District. I was so impressed that I just had to share them with you. I hope you like them and Katie's really looking forward to reading your comments! Thanks, Barry.

It is wonderful to see life through the eyes of others and to see that someone so young can share it so well is exciting. Well done, Katie! Rodney

Kate, these are wonderful images. The colours and details are grand. Your pictures are quite intriguing. What a great eye you have for seeing everyday things in a differnet way than most might. Keep it up!

They are all really unusual, interesting and of excellent quality. I particularly like the shadow picture, but the refractions in the water is also of particular interest to me. I had the privilege of learning how to do dark room work when I was 13 or 14 years old and the photos I took back then are still treasures to me. A young person has a very different perspective on the world and is also able to capture her peers in a much more natural way than anybody else can hope to do.

Yes exactly. I usually let Kita go with her camera and then take great delight in learning something when I view the images later on the computer. The things they see are quite incredible.

Judi, thanks. Yes, you're right. None of these shots were guided by anyone other than Katie and she's seen things as I did as a child - up close. I remember struggling with the concepts of vistas when my parents would say 'what a lovely view', I would think, well yeh but so what but I would notice small things and fidn them very interesting. Katie's done the same by picking out details that adults would walk past in an attempt to see the grand design. I did just that when she took the lower left image. I was jumping from rock to rock focussed on capturing a magnificent waterfall and couldn't understand why Katie as dallying below me. Only now do I see that she has found something equally and potentially more beautiful than the 'main feature' that I was so blinded by.

Tell Katie that she has taken some brilliant aspects. It is so wonderful to look through the eyes of a child and with a camera, you can do just that.

These images are excellent, top left picture is really nice idea and very well taken, as are the top right and bottom left. Agree with Lisa worth getting your own Usefilm account and sharing more of your images.

Katie all four of your images are wonderful. I like the image in the top left with the shadow (I'm guessing it's your own shadow). I think you should get your own camera and usefilm account and upload your images daily. You're a wonderful photographer and I hope to see more of your images.
