Guess I will have to stay away from the beach and lighthouses, but I think nikon makes pretty good cameras so it will prolly hold up for a while :-)

I wonder about the tripod though, but this one reminds me of a series jasper johns did in the early 90's which I saw in a gallery with shadows, I was intrigued by them.

This is one of those images that will never grow old. It's believable and free of identity with a time period.

Mohammad, I'm currently redoing my web page, may post a link to it here eventually. What sort of paintings do you do?
Rafi, you're right about the distortion, didn't think of that so much when taking these.
MErt Y, I don't mind the tripod, but I would like to try some without also, next time I do some more shadows.

Nice idea... But I would like to see your shadow alone, without the shadow of the tripot; if you excuse me...
Congrats.

Excellent idea, dear Ellie. The first impression is that the wavelet will distort the shadow, only second reflection shows that that is impossible. Thank you for your very generous comments on my "In Monet's garden 5" and my "Memories from Paris 13." The latter is not a baloon but a glass-ball, like the one people hang out for Christmas and it was about Christmas-time that I took that photo. Best regareds, Rafi
