I recently took a trip to Core Banks North Carolina to do some fishing and photography, while there I was reminded of the times that I spent on Horn Island with two real good southern friends of mine. While on the Horn, I tried a photograph like the one displayed here. I was then using exclusively film cameras to render this shot and it then never turned out well. Now with the age of digital in high gear, I am able to get these shots that I had otherwise missed, while I am still using 80% film, digital is a great tool that I would not like to leave behind! Someday soon I would like to do another Mississippi trip with my old island pals from the south, and this time my new tool to the arsanal will be a Surf Rod!!
Very nicely done Paul. Reminds me of the Horn also. I can just taste that sand now in the chicken we grilled the last night of the Horn trip. And out of beer to boot. Thank God Greg brought some liquor!
Thanks Greg No mosquitos on Core banks, the wind blows em away, I would head west, but it seems that every magazine I pick up has an article on the west, I am ready to see more on the East and that is where I am heading!! You coming?
Good Shot, Berry...A photo to make Galen Rowell envious...I know I'm sure envious...Next time let's go out West...All those inclined can have the Mosquito infested Horn Island...Mountains would work good for me...Greg
