Great shot Arwa! The well defined leaves of the palm contrast so nicely with the mottled light in the background. Beautiful sharp light on the leaves too. i know you are a big proponent of the rule of thirds and this is a perfect example! Omar

No Arwa, it's not boring.. Actually I find creative to play with the same object (subject) and present it in a different way every time.. it's a learning method.. I like this picture.. Nice & different composition..

I love the lines in this with all the zig and zag I think there's a ton of interest for the eye here. The thumbnail does this no justice girl! The DOF is excellent too. Very nice focus with your use of the 3rds rule playing a dominate role here...

Hi Arwa,
awesome stuff again. The DOF together with the creative cropping forms a very good abstract. in addition the wonderful toning add some nice momentum. I'm a bit uncertain about the offset here. My first impression was: Good to have the space. My second was: oh, it looks empty. And there is no actual need for that open space as a contrast to the background as the background is so perfectly separated by the DOF...
So: wonderful one, would be interesting to see a more symmetrical version ;-)
best wishes,
Thilo

Boring? Are you kidding? I think this is very well done. My only real complaint about it is that there is some damage to the underpart of the leaf that is second from the bottom (first one from the bottom on the left) near the stem. I think if you were to clone that out it would be nearly perfect, at least in my opinion.

Absolutely not boring! In the flora you can find good subjects and nice geometries and... they usually can stay still for long long time without claims :))) I like the contrast, the composition and DOF. A mix of flora and abstract!
