No wonder this photo has been seen 206 (now 207) times. The wonder is the it was rated only 3 times. I think it deserves more. Thanks for your comment on my "Out of place". Regards, Dr. Rafael (Rafi) Springmann rafael1930@bezeqint.net

Just lovely and pleasing. The object in the fore ground gives a good scale.
Reminds me of the "Clipper ships" - The clippers ships, the tall, wind sail ships just like this one- use to bring tea from China to london, before the steam ships arrived. It took about 3 months for the trip. They use to have a race to see which one comes first to the dock in london. It was a funfare in those days to watch them arrive to the docks and people gambled on it as well. Then came the Suez cannal and steam ships - the lovely tradition went out of scene.

I think you live in San Diego too. This ship and your photo are very special. I go to the waterfront when I have spare time. Maybe next week I have new camera to use. I know fog can be very bad in bay. Are there many good places to do photos in this town? I am new here.

As far as i know i usually avoid mists and fogs when i take picyures of landscapes. They distract a lot and often give glares too. But this one is great. The fogs just add drama to the vintage ship. You can crop the buoy. ...or just leave it there for originality

I too think this is a very good picture George. I would clone out the bouy maybe as it does take away from the ship. JMO. Very well done tho. Love the flag!

An interesting image, George. I just wish that buoy didn't dominate the image so much. However I don't think there was much you could have done about that. I like the way the colors of the flag penetrate the mist.
