Again, I say you had a great privelage to visit this museum, and you handled this shot very well - with very difficult exposure conditions. Very pleasing shot.

Hi Larry it would appear the big beast of a plane is a Douglas C-133 Cargomaster, I got it from the serial number on the tail, the internet is wonderful for these types of things.

Thanks James...I'm not sure..I tried to document most of the planes by photoing the signs in front of them but I didn't get this one...It is some kind of giant prop plane

I love this aircraft, such sleek lines yet so powerful. The low moody light suits this plane well, stealthy...

What is that beast behind the SR-71? The Blackbird seems to fit under it's wing!

Thanks.

Hey Paul

I guess I don't have to tell you how cool this place is. I hadn't been there in about 20 years and they have tripled it's size including moving the missles inside. I only had about 2 hours to spend so was practically running through the place. I'll get back when I can spend some time....Thanks

Linda...all the shots you'll see of this place were extremely tough...First it was dark, many of the planes were hanging from the ceiling and the built-in flash was inadequate...so I did mostly slow low light shots handheld...you'll probably see some noise in a few of the photos....and as you said since it's a museum everything is crowded togethet so getting a good angle was difficult. That's my excuse Thanks

Larry I really like this. It looks like you had to really be decisive in terms of getting a clear shot. I like the almost black and white look and the lighting. Excellent focus, nice clean lines. Great presentation...no bugs??? hehehehe....Linda
