Ian Pearson, The point of this photo was not to get the entire flower into focus, but to emphasize the pistil/stamen. This aspect of the flower is often lost in the desire to depict the entire flower's reality. As for cloning the background to get rid of the pole...I am still a student in high school and do not know enough about photoshop to do an adequate job yet. I thank you for your constructive critism.

A beautifull shot of a beautifull flower spoilt by inattention to detail. The dark background should have been cloned to get rid of the white pole on the right,and less cropping around the bottom. Camera angle could have been raised to get the stamen against the petals, and overall sharpness increased.Depth of field is too shallow as the flower is the subject not just the stamen. Ian Pearson
