Hi Carsten,

some untypical stuff from you, but nevertheless great. the oversharpened look works out quite well. The sky looks a bit weird with the violet part and the blue one.

best wishes,

Thilo

I love the exposure control you have in this shot. To me it's just perfect in what must have been ( I'm just guessing), less than ideal shooting conditions. I love it!

Dear Carsten, I have checked out your photos and congratulations! I like practically all of them very much. I think your compositional skills are very good, all the pictures have a strong dramatic quality and your color compositions are also very captivating. I was glad to see the Lake Garda pictures, one of my favorite places.

This one is my favorite of the two insofar as the vehicles aren't present and the color and textures are richer. I see the color in the sky and clouds ties in with the buildings nicely. The violet in the sky is a little stronger than I'd like -- this may be my monitor though. I honestly don't know where to take it, but I think it would be better a tad more neutral. Antonia

Each time I see these images from Italy I want to go there! I really love those narrow alleys.

Superbly balanced exposure in a far from ideal lighting situation, Carsten
Excellent composition with the buildings using the full height of the frame and the cobbled path taking the eye into the heart of the picture.
Excellent work ~ never less!
Best regards, Chris
