Thanks for taking time to explain, Jim. You just did a terrific job here and it was actually the first pic to catch my eye when I first opened your portfolio (could be all the strong red ;))

Evelyn
The long focal range is because I had the camera set to 28mm wide angle end of the zoom. That coupled with about an f 8.0 in good light give you a whopping DOF. I like these kind of shots, and don't take enough of them.

How did you get such a long range of focus?? This photo is striking both in color and perspective. Terrific composition too.

This shouts POWER and STRENGTH to me Jim. The composition with that bulbous chain link in the foreground is awesome and then the detail of the rivets in the ship's side combine to make this image exceptional. Oh yeah, the colour is great too.

Not sure if this is fantastic perspective and a sharp eye, - or after effects of the business lunch LOL :). Jim this is so excellent- very clever and you need a keen, creative, artistic eye to 'see it' let alone make the shot.

This looks great Jim .. the perspective is awesome, execution is superb as you got such great DOF on the chain, and still got excellent sharpness on the ships' hull .. little improvement would be to remove the distracting left corner .. Peter

GOOD EYE on this one. It would have been so easy to just walk on by without 'seeing' the photo op on this one.
