the grave stones make nice eye leading lines which take my eyes behind the large trees on the right. what distracts my attention is the white tower over there. best regards, ned

Absolutely wonderful composition, Lori! I also have a series taken in the American War's Cemetery in Florence. It's peaceful out there, a real hommage to all those soldiers who gave their lives for us. GOD BLESS AMERICA !!! Hugs, Antonella

Hi Paul, Thanks, (I'm a bit behind here) Yes, many from WW2 but also anyone who has been in the military. We were there making arrangements for my husband's father and his wife.
It is a beautiful place...... Lori :)

Hi John, Thank you so much, glad you liked this one. Yes...can't believe I didn't straighten that miserable tilted horizon! (I'm usually kind of picky about those...oh well, not going to redo it at this point! LOL)
This cemetery is huge, this area is but a tiny portion.
Have a GR8 day/evening! Lori :)

HI Jimmy,
Thank you so much for your kind words, I appreciate them and am glad you liked this one. This cemetary is huge, this is just one very small portion. I have been wanting to get some photographs there for a long time, but the sky was never right. This sky had a little interest, would have liked more. :)
Have a GR8 day/evening, Lori :)

Oh my! oh my! what a magnificent shot of this military cemetery. The slight tilt of the ocean not withstanding, a masterpiece of photography. All that white in the foreground is balanced out so well by the small patches of white clouds and lighthouse. The composition and dof is some of the best I've seen.

Hi Carolyn, Thank you so much, pleased you liked this one. What you mentioned is exactly what caught my eye. However by the time I fished out my camera, the lighthouse lost some of the spot of sun on it!
Haven't seen you around in awhile, hope all is well with you!
Lori ;)

Oops Lori your horizon is tilt. What a shame these graves there are so many in Europe as well. Especially around may 5th there are so many memorial scenes and gathering in Europe. Regards, Rob.

Very beautiful image and strong meanings! I think the tree standing between the graves and shading some of them is an image by itself.

Hello Lori! Hope You are well My Friend! This is a really well done photo of the graves! It's very interesting to look down the rows of headstones and see the patterns that were created! The low trees are a nice contrast to the beautiful sky and Pacific water! The horizon does have a slight tilt but I don't think it takes away from the photo at all! Nice work Lori! My best...............John GOD bless!

oh lori as Gregory said! its respectfully magnificent They can see heaven! The spot for this grave is so beautiful! And you captured it wonderfully! I see why you added this to the perspective project but why not maximum DOF? Is the horizon tilted a little bit?
