Hi, Pat! You're right. This church was built in the 1Xth century. It had seen 3 wars: Napoleon, Civil and, finally, the Second WW, the most fierce fighting of all. It is a surprise it hasn't been destriyed at all. The interior still has faded paintwork. The ornament is the cross and I didn't lined it against the wall. The inside suffered more than one explosion and there are several large holes in facade and surrounding fence. I think I'll continue with the series. You're welcome!
What I noticed are the holes in the bricks, Bullet holes? Or just weathering away? I asume these are ruins of old homes. Interesting how the doorways are all lined up. The orniment leaning against the wall is very interesting...
