Howard, thanks for the comment! I didn?t care for this shot until I really started looking at it. The reason I like it are the exact reasons that make you uncomfortable, the title directs the focus into the bottom of the frame to look for the subject (sea shells). And as you move up, you discover the alternate perspective. I like the diagonal horizon line and all the empty space in this one. in my in my opinion, the horizon line adds character and dimension. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to explain what I saw in this one. ~Mike
I don't know if it could have been taken any other way, but I am not comfortable with water horizons that are not level. This may be my problem not yours. I do think that the sea shells are hard to identify without the title, though.
