Exquisite composition and good use of light to your advantage. Shallow DOF has worked very well here.
Kind regards.

GG, this wast taken in the bathroom in front of the window. He was fairly close to the window and it was in macro mode. I tend to add a dodge and burn layer to my photos to add detail since I am working with a measley 4 MP. When I do that and the background is already kind of drown out, the burn layer tends to black it out completely! So, that is what I did to get rid of the background!

very cool and dramatic. There is one very thin white line going down from his lip which looks a little odd. I'd paint it out. I feel bad maentioning it as the photos is really good and I hat to nitpick on it.

Hi Melanie,
I think this is a really great portrait - with a nicely chosen shallow DOF and a very interesting angle.
I would be tempted to clone out the string/line from her mouth as I feel that it is a little confusing out of context.
I really hope you don't mind - but I had a go :)
Really like this portrait - whatever work you have done in PSP is pretty much seamless - very well done.
Kindest Regards Steve
