Kim, I have no problem with the colours of the "background" -- in fact, I think they're quite cool. I would just separate it more from the model, maybe use them just like a coloured/textured form of vignetting?
Good idea.

hey Kim....
ya know for me.. the colors are too alike.. i want something to "pop", the toens are too similar, maybe the glass should have red liquid in it... i do agree with the others in that i think it is a bit distracting to have the subject coverd by the background work, so.. i might bring the background back off the subject or put the lines completely covering the subject and fade them back by 50% or something.... anyway i hope it was a little help...

Hi kim -
I like the idea a lot. I would suggest not intruding the background texture as much over the subject. As lily said - it is a lttle distracting on the head - and I think on the chest too. The intrusion almost works ok on the legs though - but I wold be interested to see a 'clean' subject
Great concept and PS work though :)
Well done

Kim, It's excellent PS work. Very creative shot. The only thing that caught my attention is the blue coloring on top of head (hair area mostly). I would try a version without that to compare.
