About The plum blossom almost makes it look as if this tree is on fire! This is early morning, with a pink sky, of all things! I'm really getting to like this Helios lens. It is the cheapest lens I've ever bought, and may be one of the best...

I was actually going through your portfolio looking for Cherry Blossoms (found them) when I saw this. I'd never seen - or heard - of a Plum Blossom before now. It is gorgeous. Nicely captured Roger.

Cheers and thanks for your visit to my portfolio. Your comments are much appreciated and always welcome.

Thanks Koby; I've just realised that probably the best shot would have been laying on my back and shooting up into the branches to get rid of the boring backgrounds. Next year, maybe? Hmm. I'd have a problem with depth of focus, though... and I seem to remember the orchard was pretty muddy.

Yigal, I don't usually use frames, although I'm going to try my first one in a day or so. This was a very difficult shot to frame/compose, as the background is very boring and unpleasant in most directions. This is the best I could do, although I realize, as you rightly say, it's a bit weak. I just couldn't resist those colours, though!

Wonderful combination of colours, Roger.
The Helios looks like a good buy!
Best regards, Chris

I like the colors, less the composition. Did you consider a frame to your photo ?

I love when the trees are in bloom like this. They are so colourful. Nice capture.
