I think the rough surface of the table complements the ring but I do not like the hot spot below the upper stone. What was your lighting setup? Difficult to photograph shiny things and it might be best to use very diffuse lighting.

I wanna help you as much as possible,first thing is we dont use the same brand cameras but maybe you have a different camera which uses 50mm Macro.Second thing is that i bought lots of lights about taking these kind of things.But at least whatever you need to know just ask me if you believe that i took nice photographs about these jewels.well take care
