I agree - great composition and interesting subject - only detracted by the stail/spill on the ground above the shadow.
Not the easiest thing in the world to PS out.. but certainly doable.... I have had a quick go at removing it (emphasis on 'quick'! *lol*) - just to see how the composition would look...
