am scanning from the slide.i feel the noise increases in low light images when i adjust the levels and contrast,otherwise the image is smooth.i use an epson perfection 1640SU scanner with a slide adaptor.it usually produces great results and can scan at a very high dpi.

Parvin, are you scanning from the slide or from a print? I assume a proper slide/negative scanner should be able to do better.

hi,thx for ur critique.the haze is actually noise.i've noticed when i scan images which have been taken in low light then there is alot of noise produced.am wondering whether it's always like this or whether there are any solutions?

Interesting effect; it's a shame the picture looks somewhat hazy. I assume the scan doesn't do the slide any justice!?
