Well, El Edwardo had hit the big time - his CD's were an instant #1 and his Movies were Box Office hits. Girls were everywhere, Money was flowing like a broken Slot Machine, Limo's, Booze, Drugs, A house in Beverly Hills, Malibu Beach, New York Apartment, London flat (right next to Madonna) and a country home in Tuscany - very close to Sting (or as El called him, "The Stinger Man") Many a nights the jam sessions would go on until the sun was coming up. With all of El's different hero's, deep down inside he was nothing but a plain old "Blues Man". But something was troubling this Blues Man. When ever he was in London or Italy he'd fly over to Amsterdam in his private jet for maybe an over night stay - 2 at the most. Not many people knew about these "secret trips". I did of course being his personal photographer but my lips were sealed.Here's a VERY rare shot of El exiting an Amsterdam "coffee shop" known as "Grey Area" besides sampling many things herb (maybe a bit TOO many) on their "only in Amsterdam" menu he also had had numerous glasses of "Jenever" - Dutch gin (the closest thing to an Atomic Bomb in a shot glass). Here he's saying, "Come on Marty, no shots right now - not good for my image" - he'd call me "Marty" when his mind would get a bit too cloudy - he also didn't say it anywhere as clear as I typed it - i believe it took him close to 5 minutes to deliver that one sentence). At first it was all fun and games but it was getting obvious that pressure and stress were getting to El Edwardo. And it was just gonna get worse. Next...El Edwardo with one of Rock's most famous singer's - poolside and HIGHLY "juiced".....Stay tuned......
