Jim's right, the uncropped version is better. It let's you in to the life of the mother and child a little more.

99 of a hundred people would've done just that... booooorrrring. I wanted somthing different..I didn't want the ::snor:: run of the mill inside the box, color in the lines, mother & child portrait. Lame Lame Lame. Like as a photographer I can't see where to crop for such a shot..? C'mon. Sorry..I'm irritated today..just an annoying day.I like it more so as a panoramic..but thanks anyway.

A great moment, and I think that Randal's crop enhances it still further. Did you scan the prints or the negs on these? They seem to have held up pretty well.

A wonderful moment. I would suggest a different presentation, however.

Sorry for being late, i caught Enzo on my computer. This is a very interesting point of view to shoot a shot like this from - looks like a movie still with the wide screen effect. So even 10? years ago you were already trying interesting things with your camera - very artistic minded. It's a nice intimate moment. I think the crop adds. Good one, Mark

Beautiful moment captured. I love the eye contact between mother(?) and child - for me its what takes this from being a nice slice of life image, to a really terrific portrait. Congratulations. Mark
