I like the Nikon 8700 very much. It has a great range and is very adaptable. And its small compared to the digital SLRS. It suits me as a carry everywhere every occasion camera. It takes great shots- Nikon optics are fantastic. I cant say I really see any disadvantages. I dropped it once on concrete steps and it continues to work so it must be pretty robust. I have nothing but good to say about it and just in case you are wondering - No I dont own Nikon shares!

Beautiful shot...nice eye!
Question for you.....notice that you used a NIkon 8700...i'm in the market of a new camera and am having a hard time selecting between the Nikon 8700 and the Canon Rebel 300D. How do you like the Nikon? What are the problems? Email me or post-I'd really appreciate it. boxgirl73@aol.com

Dottie I am subcontracted to work at CIIT - they have a softball team - co-ed and last year I played for the very first time! I have some softball photos in the portfolio labelled "soft?ball. I am often quoted as saying on my first outing "hey where's the soft ball?
