I really liked this shot. It was very over cast that day and I think it shows I tried to brighten it up. Can someone tell me how to change the color of his shirt from red to a color that is not so bright.
This is a lovely shot, Karen. The red shirt looks fine to me. This is nicely composed, good use of DOF, and the perspective is interesting. Take a look at the histogram on this one and try balancing the darks and lights out just a tad and you my give this a bit more spark (to overcome the low contrast), but that's all I would do personally. Also, since I'm a fan of BW, I'd try that as well and tweak the tones to my liking. But this is a treasure JUST as it is. Antonia
I can tell you how to, but I don't know why you want to- the red looks great to me. Gives a wonderful contrast and "lightness" to the shot. One idea might be to blur the background houses, and de-saturate the boys a bit. But I really like it the way it is. Did they catch anything?
