About Here is the bow of my small inflateable kayak out in front of my place kayaking around, typically avoiding work (painting).
The sea was alive with life as the Herring fish were spawning just below my porch on the edge of the sea.
At this time of the year every kind of animal is here feasting on the poor small beleaguered fish. The water changes color from a deep green blue to this turquoise tint. the sea is awash with herring sperm.

A very cool shot Tim. I really like the shimmering color of the water and the great depth you've created with the nose of your kayak. I did some kayaking in my younger years (rivers and lakes) and this brings back memories. Cheers. Craig

very nice shot Tim. It has a lot of action. 'U-Boat' view of things!

Hi Tim...glad to see recent work from you. The inclusion of the boat does well to add depth to the frame.

Cheers,
Chris

You do get some dramatic shots on the water Tim and this is no exception. Thanks for sharing.

Had to be scary being in such a small boat, the power of a sealion is great and could put you into the drink anytime they want to.
Very cool Pic !

I really like the contrast of the edge of the boat against the water...like its slicing right through it. Amazing detail, the way the water has such smoothness to it by the boat. The color is fantasitcally rich too ; )

With this perspective, I feel as if I am creeping up on these animals, nice viewpointe and great tones in the water. Alison

what a beautiful life. what a beautiful oppurtunity and I am glad you have shared it with me and the rest of the world. I love to kayak and love to talk myself into dragging my camera out with me, usually wrapped in a garbage bag just in case ;) but you know as well as I do we will never tip..... knock on wood. Either way great shot!

Lucky you Tim, what a great place to live. Great perspective. I was so nervous taking my camera kayaking in New Zealand recently, thank goodness for dry bags hey.
