Both were released, one was applauded while the other was shot, both by Americans. Both did their job!

Ohhh, I see now. I am familiar with the woman's story on the right, but was confused because I hadn't heard of recent criminal released from jail that was shot by an American. The way these two photos are placed makes it appear as if you are trying to compare the two scenarios and that the woman on the right had committed a crime (which I don't believe she did, she was held hostage). I now see where you are trying to go with this, if Martha Stewart had been some hardened criminal it might have more of an impact, but she's not. She's just a homemaker type person in a high profile scandal (not someone people see as evil).
I am still curious if this is your work? Your photographs? These are high profile people and must have been an awesome opportunity to photograph - would love to hear the story behind it.

Did you take both of these photos? Or is this someone else's work that you've scanned? If this is yours, are you a journalist for a newspaper? I've of course heard of Martha Stewart (she's a little cookie baker, home decorator type person who was just sentenced to jail for a short time for some "light" crime related to money.) I don't know anything of the other person, she's American too?

Merci, drilan

I was not aware of Martha Stewart, but have read the story now. Don't know what to think about it. Also don't know how to compare the two fates.

Merci! drilan

They speek of friendly fire as if fire ever could be friendly. We live in an insane world sometimes.
