Hi Lyle -
Thanks for your comments on my image. I usually try to keep my personal beliefs to myself, but there are times I feel a reasonable comment is warranted. In this case, the cross was a major local media coverage item. As much as I'd like to burn these despicable folks at the stake, I have to take the broader view that it is not what that cross represents. And those bastards know it.

Hi George...I know you posted this almost 8 months ago but I was reading about the ACLU in todays paper on how we need to try to have them abolished. (I don't think that will happen though) I don't like to use this forum for my personal beliefs but I liked the description on this photo. Good job.

Thanks for the kind comment Roger. I'm quite fond of Fuji's Superia Reala 100 speed for color negatives, but I used what was at hand. I can't believe I actually bought that Kodak stuff, but I obviously did. I'm going to try to get back to this place if we ever get a dry day this spring and do some serious shooting.

I think the cross is a fine symbol of sacrifice, even for the laying down of a life for others, as so many veterans did. But as a long-time user and lover of Pen Fs and 400 ISO film, may I recommend Fuji Superia? I think you'll have a pleasant surprise.

The grain is due to using a half frame camera (18mm x 24mm) and cheap 400 speed film.
