There you go Ashley, Michael pretty much explained it. You have to understand that the Eiffel tower is GIGANTIC so it's probably a kilometer (or more than 1/2 a mile) from this spot. There's a lot of haze, dust, etc. in the air for the lens to cut through + I think I took this in summer when the smog/haze level is higher. How's that for a complete answer? Markiesan

Great shot. Not often seen from this view.. I believe atomospheric perspective would make it dull as its farther away and starts to dull things out becaue of the dust and all that stuff in the air.
