Steve, I was thrilled to have captured something so "wild". I've lived here for over 5 years and I have never seen a hawk that close let alone get a photo of it! I will post the full image of this pic and you'll see why I had to crop it. The branches in front were very distracting. He was a fairly brave boy since I was quite close.

Worth the money on its own. Superb. That eye....
Satisfied yet? Infinitely more satisfying to see & shoot something 'in the wild' than to go to the local 'petting zoo' and shoot something that can't get away, don't you think?
