No ned to apolgize, Markus. I thought you were refering to Aramando's variation of my photo, in which he put dentures into one of the glasses. It's one of his usual pranks and he and I are close, albeit virtual, friends. Cheers, Rafi

Oh Rafi, don't be harsh with me. I only dared to refer to teeth knowing your sense of humor. Forgive me, my friend.
Regards, Markus

It's amazing how you capture feelings in flowers, Marcus. Thank you for your comments on my "Glass 4, 5 and 6." If you take a good look at "glass 2", you'll see a bottle standing behind it. By that stage we were already out of champagne (we only had one bottle for 6 people) and the lable on the bottle behind "Glass 6" carries a lable saying (in Hebrew): Coca Cola. I also have all my teeth, despite my age, save two, one of which is substituted by a bridge and please don't tell me the ancient joke about someone defecating beneath my bridge. Best regards, Rafi

Very well seen, Christian. It's absolutely overexposed as you can see on the sketch of the original shot. I've not yet looked at this feature of the camera but will do in the future.
Thanks and kind regards, Markus

Great details here Markus. Fine DOF that works together with the composition. That large out of focus leaf (?) on the right leads us to the left into the sharp heart, the latter resting on the UL "sweet spot". One problem here though : the blown highlights. Both digital and slide or positive film have a narrow range of tolerance to high contrast. The general practice is to check the highlights and live with the shadows. In the review mode of your camera, you will be able to see the blown highlights flash on the screen. This will command to compensate your exposure by reducing the amount of liight coming onto the sensor. Depending on your model, you have steps of 1/3 or 1/2 Expoosure Value, or "stops". In the case posted here, I would guess that -1 EV would bring more details into the highlights, and of course darken the entire image. PS has a function that can bring back some light from the shadows, but at the cost of "noise" or grain, so it's a matter of tweaking the process for an acceptable compromise.
Well, here goes the teacher again...
