About She knew [ ] had been about to call her several times during that year, and she also knew why he gave up. It was not so much the old unhappy love she had reminded him of, it was rather the ravenous, defenceless way he had loved her. It was bound to have gone wrong. None could stand being loved like that. It had not been at all her he had loved but a besotted image of her, a gilded icon that shone misteriously in his waking dreams. None could be so utterly wonderful and she would have never had a chance of living up to his exaggerated notions of her.
But the recollection of that last imploring and disarming glance had painted the whole world so much more beautiful that it was, simply to be able to endure it.

I absolutely love the text info that you give to accompany your images. In a way, it sort of dictates the emotions that the viewer feels when seeing your images...

I love the games on the depth of field, and i like it the grain very to me... seems one of the photos of great photographers. robert capa, HCB, played on the emotions and sensation! this human presence then is an art touch. in the fav.. roby

complimenti

she is there or not anymore...who knows...only in the imagination...what is real...finding the best balance between reality and imagination is crucial...

the image...spellbinding in b&w

The importance of things not shown -- I really like your "Abouts". Words and pictures, what more do we really have?

Ciao Aira,

...cause i?ve been changing my mind *singing*... not for your work though Aira... the blur, the grain, the tones are the tools with which you communicate feelings and paint your "abouts"... superb emotional and moving image... very well done... emy :)

To love the image of someone and then realise that the person are not the same as the image - pherhaps not so uncommon.....sadly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I like the about a lot and your shot is blurry in such way that make me think of distance - but not real distance, the one that creates of this "putting on a piedestal".... A real encounter never possible in that sense. Excellent work Aira.
