About This woodpecker was way up in the tree..used the 2x converter and have cropped this about 50% from original.
The Red-bellied Woodpecker gets its name from the small pinkish wash on its belly that is only noticeable under optimal viewing conditions.

I've got one of these guys hanging around a suet block I put out. Can't seem to get him to sit still long enough for a shot, though.

This is well done. I'd just like to see him from the front to accentuate that "red belly" that seems so hard to capture.
