i'm writing this without having read the other comments first,but i'm sure they speak of how beautiful this picture is, the magnificent sky and the superb lighting, the effective composition and the nice contrast the white sail makes with its dark background, the interesting mixture of drama and peacefulness (at least this blended feeling is what i get by looking at it), the good choice of b/w... ok,this is what i think ;-)
now i'll go read the rest of the comments.

Celui-ci est fantastique Cessy !
Je pense que les lacs sud des Alpes sont d'origine glacière .. il y a longtemps, pendant la dern. per. glacière, la vallée était prise par une glacier, qui poussait une mur de morène ..
Allez, tu sais tout ca sans doute, je voulais le dire ici en tant que prof. en géographie ;-))

I think the black and white is so much more dramatic. The clouds are so silky and the boat is just sailing in space. Beautiful, beautiful.

Wow! This is fantastic work - the whole framing is excellent. Awsome use of the frame with the intense clouds, and then the boat which is set in the frame and looks so small compared to the world around it - really makes you think. Well done! I hope you get an award for this.

Superb Cessy!!! The dramatic clouds suggest the boat is making for port before the storm hits. The use of black and white for this image is a masterstroke as it lends far more drama and impact.
The clarity of the boat and the way it stands out against the dark background is superb.

hai toccato un tasto fotografico che io amo molto, il lago, i miei amici mi hanno soprannominato "uomo del lago".. così in modo scherzoso.. ci abito (su quello di varese) e ci vado spesso..
